The design of the carpet installation is sculptured in a human body dying on the ground, representing the small manufacturer's degrading condition and challenges with mouth wounded with the environmental and social issues they face due to the pressure of producing cheap clothes, which barriers their growth.
The behavior of retailers, consumers walking over the small-scale industry with an attitude of ignorance towards them is highly dangerous for the people, the society, and the planet. Just like consumers walk over every carpet, crush upon within their feet. without noticing it back again. Walk consciously signifies a deeper meaning which means that we cannot walk towards sustainability, ethical products, and better humanity without consciousness, by ignoring and crushing them under our feet.
This installation raises awareness about the ignorant consumer and retailers' behavior (demanding cheap clothes and unethical practices) towards the unbranded and small local shop clothing industry, which eventually leads to colossal impacts on the manufacturers. This carpet will engage the consumer with a critical subject that might otherwise cause them to turn away.
